ABOUT CTC
Chebeague Transportation Company is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation managed by a volunteer board of directors elected by the members of the corporation. The directors represent a cross section of the community including commuters, retired residents, and people earning their living on Chebeague. Membership is available to anyone who has an interest in CTC. In order to become a member, please contact our office. Membership does not entitle members to any discounts or special rates. Members may view past member meeting agendas, minutes, and presentations here.
Our History
Since 1975, the Chebeague Transportation Company (CTC) has provided access to and from Chebeague Island. It has been the vital link that sustains a small community of year-round residents as well as seasonal visitors. Over those decades, CTC has grown from a converted lobster boat to a full-service transit business with a fleet of three vessels, a barge, three buses and two parking lots, serving Chebeague 365 days a year, 24 hours a day.
A local company,
managed by friends and neighbors
Our board of directors meets the third Thursday of each month at 6 PM - normally at the CTC office (16 North Road).
Members of the public are welcome. Anyone who is interested in learning more about joining the Board should click here for the latest notice.
